How to create a QR code
- Paste a link or type some text. The preview updates on its own.
- For an email or a phone number, pick it under "Other QR types".
- If you like, change the colors and the size.
- Download the PNG for social media and documents, or the SVG to print at any size without losing quality.
Tip: before printing, scan the QR with your phone to check that it opens what you expect.
Common uses for QR codes
- Menu or catalog: a QR to your page or PDF on tables, display cases or packaging.
- WhatsApp: so customers can message you just by scanning, without saving your number. Use the WhatsApp QR.
- Wi-Fi: so guests or customers can connect without being told the password, with the Wi-Fi QR.
- Social media: a QR to your profile on business cards or flyers.
- Contact details: a QR that opens an email or dials your phone.
Tips so it scans well
- Use a dark color on a light background. Inverted or low-contrast QR codes fail on many scanners.
- Keep the white margin around the code.
- For small prints, use short links: less content means bigger squares.
- Print it at least 2 × 2 cm; larger if it needs to be read from a distance.
